Miss. Jane Pittman

Jane Pittman started out the book as a young girl named Ticey. General Brown, part of the Yankees, started calling her Jane Pittman so she went along with that name. When the slaves were freed, Jane immediately went to find Ohio, where General Brown said he was from. There was many hardships on the way.

If I were to recommend this book to my peers, I would only recommend this to the people who like historical fiction. I would warn them that if they were not into that category of books, they would find the book rather tedious.
